蒜头瓶因瓶口形似蒜头而得名，最早见于战国晚期秦国青铜器之中，蒜头瓶口如蒜头状突起，宋人认为可塞其口，而瓶颈细长便于握持，瓶腹扁矮可以盛装，故称之为温壶，用作酒器。宋以后为仿古器式，历代皆有，明清两代景德镇御窑厂皆有青花、五彩、粉彩及单色釉品种。

此瓶为青花花卉纹蒜头瓶，高15.5cm，口径20.12mm，底径45.61mm，重184.1g，蒜头形口，长颈微束，瓶口内敛，溜肩鼓腹，高圈足略外撤，造型挺拔俊美，胎质细腻坚实，釉面平整温润。瓶通体施白釉以青花描绘，口肩分饰青花回纹、缠枝花卉、莲瓣及如意云头等五条纹饰带，腹部主体以“三多”为主题纹饰，绘制石榴、佛手、寿桃，寓意“多子、多福、多寿”，瑞果之间再点缀三组折枝花卉，整体布局疏密得当，错落有致，足胫部则以莲锁及海水江牙为边饰，底心青花书“大清乾隆年制”六字三行篆书款。全器白种温润细腻，青花发色鲜艳典雅，瓶器型师法古器，纹饰层次清晰，画工精细流畅，青花色泽艳丽，笔触点染之法为仿永宣青花铁锈斑式样，是乾隆时期景德镇御宝厂的精品之作。
