    食品伙伴网讯  据世界农化网消息，11月18日美国环保署发布消息，就烟草轻绿花叶病毒用作除草剂征求意见。

    TMGMV U2由BioProdex公司从培植材料中分离而来，于2013年5月申请登记。TMGMV通过触发内吸性致死高敏植物反应来杀死热带刺茄。

    美国环保署开始对烟草轻绿花叶病毒U2病毒株（TMGMV U2）及其终端产品SolviNix LC登记征求意见，截止日期为12月3日。

    US EPA is seeking public comment on registration of Tobacco mild green mosaic tobamovirus strains U2 （TMGMV U2） and its end-use product SolviNix LC, for use as a post-emergent herbicide to control tropical soda apple （TSA, Solanum viarum） in pastures and wooded areas that are fenced to contain grazing animals. BioProdex isolated TMGMV U2 in Florida from horticultural materials and filled registration in May 2013.

    TMGMV kills TSA by triggering a systemic lethal hypersensitive plant response. Given this registration would result in the first food and outdoor uses for TMGMV U2 strain, EPA is requesting comments on underlying risk assessments and overall proposal. The public comment is open until December 3rd.
