The article investigated the deciduous plants of six city parks in Guangzhou, summarized its application type and configuration, then analyzed the landscape characteristics and existing problems of deciduous plants, and put forward the corresponding suggestions, hoping that can give reference value to the landscape planning and construction of Guangzhou area. The results showed that there are 29 families, 48 genera and 58 species of deciduous plant in Guangzhou parks, the tropical genera accounts for 71.74% of the total number, which have strong tropical properties.
