荷花可是夏日里的“清新女神”，它们大多在每年的6月到9月这段时间里竞相绽放，给炎热的夏季增添一抹清凉。不过，荷花的开花时间也不是一成不变的，受到品种和气候的影响，荷花的开放时间也错落有致。

The lotus is like summer’s own symbol of calm and beauty. These stunning flowers typically bloom between June and September, bringing a touch of serenity to the hottest months of the year. But their bloom time isn’t always predictable—it depends on the variety and local climate.

南方因为气温高，荷花有时会提前到5月就绽放了。北方的荷花可能会稍微晚一些，7月才姗姗来迟。荷花的品种繁多，不同品种的开花时间也各有差异。红荷一般在6月中旬就开始露脸了，而白荷可能要等到7月初才缓缓盛开。

In warmer southern regions, lotus flowers may start blooming as early as May. Up north, they tend to appear later, sometimes not until July. Different varieties bloom at different times, too: red lotus usually shows up by mid-June, while white lotus might wait until early July to open.

不同于一般花卉，荷花有着独特的“开放-闭合-再开放”现象。清晨5-6点，荷花开始缓缓绽放，6-8点达到最盛，这时是观赏荷花的最佳时机。但到了10点左右，花瓣会逐渐收缩，下午1点左右完全闭合。然而，第二天早上，这些闭合的花蕊会再次绽放。所以，要想看最美的荷花，一定要记得早起！

What makes lotus flowers truly special is their distinctive blooming rhythm: a daily cycle of opening, closing, and reopening. Early in the morning—around 5 or 6 a.m.—the petals slowly start to open, hitting full bloom between 6 and 8 a.m. That’s the best time to see them at their peak. By about 10 a.m., the flowers begin to close, and by early afternoon, they’re tightly shut again. But the next morning? They bloom all over again. So if you’re hoping to catch the lotus in all its glory, set your alarm and head out early—it’s worth the early wake-up call!
