This article summarizes the existing problems in the research of vegetation restoration in dry valleys, and elaborates the unique advantages of Rosa plants in the region, aiming to provide new ideas for the study of species selection in the process of ecological restoration in the dry valleys. From the perspective of growth habit, Rosa plants are the dominant native shrubs in dry valley areas and are suitable for planting in extremely poor soil. Their large and developed root systems and abundant biomass are conducive to improving soil, maintaining water and soil, and increasing biodiversity.
